Lonewolf, Rosemary “Apple Blossom” – Seedpot with Mimbres Bird (1980)

1.5"w x 1.25"h

$ 400.00

This is an early seedpot by Rosemary Lonewolf.  She learned to make pottery from her father, Joseph Lonewolf.  This piece is fully polished.  It has a Mimbres-inspired bird on the top.  It is etched into the clay and flying in the center of a cloud.  Note the little etched circles around the bird.  Rosemary only did this for a short time as it was so time-consuming. The seedpot is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Apple Blossom”.  While Rosemary no longer makes many traditional-style pieces of pottery, her miniatures remain a classic!
