$ 1,850.00

Grace Chino was a daughter of noted potter Marie Z. Chino and a sister of noted potters Carrie Chino Charlie and Rose Chino. Over the years she won numerous awards for her pottery at Santa Fe Indian Market and her work was featured in the “7 Families in Pueblo Pottery” and in museums around the country.  This bowl is coil-built and has five rows of corrugation on the side.  There are eight turtles in relief on the rim.  They are each painted on their backs with a fine-line star pattern.  It is unusual how she so much dimension on the piece with the turtles, and the texture with the corrugation!  The bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  It is signed on the bottom, “Grace Chino”.
