This is one of the few plates we have had by Juan Tafoya.  It is from 1993.  The plate is fully polished on the front and it is etched with a Mimbres butterfly as the design.  There are clouds around the edge. There is a single inset piece of turquoise below the butterfly.  The plate was traditionally fired red.  It is signed, “Juan Tafoya”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
