$ 250.00

Louis and Virginia Naranjo were the parents of noted potter Mary Trujillo.  They were known for their storyteller figures and especially Louis’s bears.  This is bowl is by Virginia Naranjo.  It is a charming piece made from native clay and painted with bee-weed (black). The bowl has interlocking old-style butterflies as the design  It’s not often we see a more classic shape by Virginia and not a storyteller or animal.  The piece was traditionally fired.  It is signed on the bottom, “Virginia Naranjo”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  Definitely a creative piece of her exceptional art in clay.
