Eleanor Pino Griego learned to make pottery from her grandmother Ascencion Galvan Pino and her mother, Laura Pino.  Her sister Ruby Panana also makes traditional Zia pottery. This jar has a cloud design around the neck.  There is a tan polished rainbow band around the shoulder.  The body of the jar has birds and cloud patterns.  It is an intricately painted jar using native clay slips.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Eleanor Pino Griego”.  The jar is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
