Panana, Ruby – Jar with Birds, Rainbows, Lid and Turquoise

Ruby Panana began making pottery in 1983.  She is a granddaughter of Joe and Ascenicona Galvan Pino and a daughter of Seferina Bell.  Her sisters Eleanor Griego and Reyes Pino are also potters.  This jar has a round shoulder and an elongated neck. The neck of the jar is fully polished red.  The body of the jar has red polished rainbows.  Under the rainbows are Zia birds.  Separating the birds are plant designs.  The jar has a red polished lid with a single inset piece of turquoise.  It is signed on the bottom, “Ruby Panana”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
