WOW!  This is a spectacular, fully polished jar by Santana and Adam Martinez.  The piece has a classic San Ildefonso jar shape with a sharp shoulder and sloping side. The jar is very tightly painted, with 35 feathers around the neck of the jar.  Around the shoulder are seed, rain, and lightning designs.  It is highly painted and fired to a glassy, nearly gunmetal coloration.  The jar is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Santana + Adam”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair. The jar has two ribbons from the 1983 Santa Fe Indian Market, including “Blue Ribbon” and “Best of DIvision”!
