Stella Teller (b. 1929) is one of the great names in contemporary Isleta Pueblo pottery. This is one of her classic storyteller figures.  It is a combination of her brown, white, and red clay colors. The woman has traditional Hopi style hair whorls. She is wearing a white polished shawl and there are three children.   The figure is signed on the bottom, “Stella Teller”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
