This large plate by John Gonzales is from 2005. John was well known for his plates and their intricately etched designs. This plate is matte tan, and the front is fully etched with designs. There is an avanyu around the rim of the plate. Near the center are etched 92 feathers. There is a row of shell hei-shi beads around the center medallion. There is also a single inset piece of turquoise in the center and one for the eye of the avanyu. The plate is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair. It is signed on the back, “John Gonzales”.
