Dolores Lewis is a daughter of renowned potter Lucy M. Lewis.  Dolores is known for use of classic Acoma and Mimbres designs in her pottery.  This is a tall seedpot that is designed on both sides.  One side has a Mimbres deer with a checkerboard body.  The opposite side has a swirling clouds with fine-line rain.  It is signed, “Dolores Lewis”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair. The piece was traditionally fired so there are color variations on the surface.
