Arlo Namingha is a son of noted painter Dan Namingha and grandson of potter Dextra Quotskuvyva.  This bronze is entitled, “Hano Mana”.  It is a Hano Mana Katsina.  The Hano Mana is also called Tewa Girl.  She appears in the pre-planting season Bean Dance. She represents the hope and wishes for a good harvest, enough to eat over the next winter, and a good luck symbol is the corn she is usually seen carrying.  This is 11/20.  Arlo most recently was awarded the “New Mexico Governor’s Award for the Arts 2024”.  This piece is in excelent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
