Mary Gutierrez (1941-2018) was a sister of Joe Talachy and Stella Tanner. She was known for her miniature pottery. This piece is coil-bulit, stone polished, and etched. The bowl has a feather design around the top and an avanyu around the sides. It is fully polished and tightly designed. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair. It is signed on the bottom, “Mary Gutierrez”. She primarily made pottery in the 1980s, and this is one of the few pieces of her pottery we have had come through the gallery.
