Emma Lewis was a daughter of noted potter Lucy M. Lewis. This jar is a classic bowl that is made from native clay and painted with bee-weed. There are Mimbres inspired bird and rabbit on each side of the bowl. The bowl is signed on the bottom, “Emma Lewis”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
