This seddpot by Ray Tafoya is from 1981. It is an earlier piece of his pottery. The piece is fully polished and etched. There is a feather pattern around the rim. One side has a large medallion with a Mimbres fish. There is a smaller medallion with a mayfly that the fish is jumping out of the water to catch. The remainder is fully polished. It is an exceptional early piece in terms of design. The seedpot is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair. It is signed on the bottom with his hallmark which is a White Mountain (his name in Tewa).
