Blue Corn was one of the great innovative San Ildefonso potters of the late 1900s. This is a classic small bowl that is fully polished tan. It is painted with a five water bugs. They are outlined in black and slipped highlighted with a pink clay. It was traditionally fired to a rich glassy coloration. It is signed on the bottom, “Blue Corn”. It is from the 1970s, and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
