Gwen Setalla is a daughter of noted potter Pauline Setalla and sister of Dee Setalla and Stetson Setalla. This is a clay sconce with a rounded space for “corn meal”. The piece is fully designed and painted with bee-weed and clay slips. The front has a flower and butterfly design. The sconce was traditionally fired. It is signed on the back “Aas-Ku-Mana”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
