Rose Pacheco is the niece of potter Robert Tenorio. He taught her how to make pottery. This is a classic water jar with hummingbirds and flowers as the design. The designs are painted with wild spinach (black) and red and copper-colored clay slips. The use of varied clay slips gives the jar a more dynamic visual appearance. The neck of the jar has a cloud patterns. The jar is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Rose Pacheco, Kewa”.

Rose Pacheco is the niece of potter Robert Tenorio. He taught her how to make pottery. This is a large jar that is coil-built and painted with clay slips and wild spinach (black). The rim of the bowl has a scalloped flower petal design. Around the sides of the piece are a hummingbird, flowers, a snail, a butterfly, and two large Kewa-style birds. The piece is very complex in imagery. The jar is painted with a red clay and a micaceous copper-colored clay. The use of varied clay slips gives the jar a more dynamic visual appearance. The jar is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Rose Pacheco, Kewa”.
