Val Kahe is a daughter of noted potter Gloria Kahe. This small is coil-built, stone polished, and painted with bee-weed (black). The piece has two Grandmother Katsinas and two Qooquole Katsinas. They are each very tightly painted. The bowl was traditionally fired to create blushes on the surface. It is signed on the bottom, “Val K”.
