Eleanor Pino Griego learned to make pottery from her grandmother, Ascencion Galvan Pino, and her mother, Laura Pino. Her sister, Ruby Panana, also makes traditional Zia pottery. This open bowl has cloud and plant designs on the outside. The cloud designs are polished red. The interior of the bowl is also polished red. The piece is painted using native clay slips. It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Eleanor Pino Griego”. The bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
