This bowl by Gloria Garcia is fully polished and fired red. There are four frogs etched into the clay. Each has a single inset piece of turquoise. This piece is signed on the bottom with her Tewa name “GoldenRod”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.

Gloria Garcia

Gloria Garcia (b.1942) is the daughter of Petra Gutierrez and a sister of potters Minnie Vigil, Lois Gutierrez, and the mother of Jason Garcia. Gloria is known for her intricately incised miniature pottery. Gloria has won numerous awards for her pottery over the years at Santa Fe Indian Market and has pottery in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC.
