Medina, Marcellus – Jar with Pueblo Deer Dancers (2001)

3"w x 3"h

$ 250.00

Marcellus Medina is known for his contemporary painted pottery.  The jar is made by his wife, Elizabeth Medina.  Marcellus has painted on the surface with acrylic. The jar has a very realistic Deer Dancer on each side.  One is facing forward and the other away.  Separating them are cloud and prayer feather designs.  The contrast of the colorful designs on the white background is striking.  The jar is signed on the bottom, ” Medina”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
