This is a long neck jar by Ray Tafoya. It is fully polished and conical in shape. It has a buffalo on one side in a medallion. As the piece is turned, there is a figure wearing a wolf skin headdress and playing a flute. The remainder of the piece has cloud, rain, and geometric designs. It is highlighted with additional yellow and blue clay slips. The jar is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair. It is signed on the bottom with his hallmark that means “White Mountain” in Tewa.
