Josephine Nahohai (1912-2007) began making pottery in the 1950’s. She was the mother of noted potters Randy Nahohai and Milford Nahohai. She was known for the creation of very traditional style Zuni pottery. This is a group of three clay owls that she made and painted in the 1960s. Each owl is different in style and tightly painted in design They are each signed, “J. Nahohai” on the bottom and each is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair. They are a charming group and scarce to find in such good condition!
