Alfred Aguilar (b. 1933) is a son of noted potters, Rosalie & Joe Aguilar. His sister, Florence Browning, was also a well-known potter. Alfred is known for his carved and painted pottery. This bowl is coil-built, stone polished and etched with design. There is a single figure etched into the clay, surrounded by a feather design that encircles the shoulder of the piece. The bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair. It is signed on the bottom, “Alfred Aguilar”.
