Melissa Concho Antonio (b. 1965) is a daughter of Gilbert and Lillie Concho and married to Daniel Antonio.  She is a sister-in-law of Frederica Antonio.  This large seedpot piece is coil-built and painted with bee-weed (black) and additional clay slips.  The top has a spiraling flower.  The petals of the flowers spiral outward and down the seedpot in a checkerboard design.  It is complex and detailed. It is intricate and eye-dazzling for its size.  It is signed on the bottom, “M. C. Antonio”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
