Wanda Aragon (b. 1948) is a daughter of noted potter Frances Torivio. She is also known by her name in Acoma, Dzinats’ituwits’a. She is known for her traditional Acoma pottery that is coil built, and painted with bee-weed and clay slips for coloration. This is a small water jar. It is has a fine-line design that encompasses the entire surface of the piece. The lines are tightly painted for the size. It is signed on the bottom, “W. Aragon”. it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.

Wanda Aragon is well known for her intricately painted miniature pottery. Each piece is coil built and painted with native clay slips and wild-spinach plant. Wanda is a daughter of Frances Torivio and a sister of Lilly Salvador and a mother-in-law of Dolores Aragon.
