Joe Baca is known for his creative sgraffito pottery.  This seedpot is coil-built and stone polished.  The piece is whimsical with Petroglph designs across the surface.  There is a large Petroglyph figure on the top whose head is the opening to the seedpot.  Around the sidesk are a dancing racoon and fox, snake, rabbit, deer, and flute player.  The piece was traditionally fired.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Joe Baca”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
