Bartlett, Lavina – Jar with Rain Design Neck
Lavina Bartlett is known for her traditional style of Navajo pottery. The jar is coil-built and there is a raised rim around the neck with a rain design. The jar was traditionally fired to create the blushes on the surface. After the firing, the jar was covered in pinon-pitch in the traditional manner of Navajo pottery. It is signed, “L B” on the bottom.
