Jamie Begay is a daughter of noted potter Harrison Begay, Jr., and a sister of Daniel Begay.  This bowl is coil-built, carved, stone polished, and traditionally fired. The bowl was made and carved by Jamie, but polished by her father, Harrison.  The bowl has a butterfly on one side.  There are two carved and polished bears along with cloud, wind, and plant designs.  The carving is sharp with clean lines.  The piece was traditionally fired a silvery-black coloration.  It is signed “JME, Harrison, 2023”.  It is exciting to see this creative new work by Jamie!
