This is a classic bowl by Blue Corn.  She is s certainly one of the most creative potters of her time with a varied use of clays and firing techniques to create her distinctive pottery. The bowl has a round shoulder.  It is painted with a feather pattern around the piece. There are 39 evenly painted feathers.  The bowl is highly polished and fired to a glossy black coloration.  It is signed in the clay, “Blue Corn”.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
