Blue Corn was one of the great innovative San Ildefonso potters of the late 1900s.  This bowl is coil-built and the surface is polished whitish-gray.  The piece is painted with green and black clay. There are mesa, cloud,wind and bird wing designs.  It is a colorful and striking piece.  The bowl is signed on the bottom, “Blue Corn”.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
