Blue Corn was one of the great innovative San Ildefonso potters of the late 1900s.  This is a classic small jar that is fully polished tan.  It is painted with a double mountain design.  They are outlined in black and highlighted with a tan colored clay.  It was traditionally fired to a rich, glassy coloration.  It is signed on the bottom, “Blue Corn”.  It is from the 1970s, and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
