This is an unusual piece by Blue Corn.  She is s certainly one of the most creative potters of her time with a varied use of clays and firing techniques to create her distinctive pottery. This piece is in the shape of a spoon. It is fully polished a cream coloration.  It is painted with green, orange, and black lay slips, along with micaceous clay. There are mountain, cloud, rain, and lightning designs.  It is not just a complex piece in terms of shape but also design.  The piece was traditionally fired.  It is signed in the clay, “Blue Corn”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
