Blue Corn – Red Bowl with Insect Design (1970s)

Blue Corn was one of the great innovative San Ildefonso potters of the late 1900s.  This is a classic small bowl that is fully polished.  It is painted with a single insect on the surface.  It was traditionally fired to a rich red coloration.  It is signed on the bottom, “Blue Corn”.  It is from the 1970s, and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
