Blue Corn is certainly one of the most creative potters of her time, with a varied use of clays and firing techniques to create her distinctive pottery. This is one of her small vessels. What makes it so striking is that it is fully painted for its size and that it has the look of one of her larger pieces! The bowl has a round shape and it is fully polished. On the sides are 34 feathers. It was fired to a glassy black. It is signed in the clay on the bottom, “Blue Corn”. The jar is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
