Blue Corn was one of the great innovative San Ildefonso potters of the late 1900s.  This is a small but tightly painted plate.  It is fully polished tan on the front and back.  The front is painted with a butterfly design on the front with red clay outlined in black.  It is a creative design and highly detailed. It is signed on the back in the clay, “Blue Corn”.  It is from 1987 and it is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
