This is one of the largest pieces we have seen by Linda Cain. The jar is a storage jar shape with round sides and a short neck. There are two rows of carved designs. The top band has mountains. The next row down has the avanyu, cloud, rain, and geometric designs. The row of designs are flowing and complex. The designs work perfectly on the size of the piece. The entire surface is fully polished and the jar was fired a deep black coloration. It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Linda Cain”. The jar is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
