This is an intricately carved jar by Linda Cain.  The jar has a deeply carved dragonfly on each side.  The dragonflies are separated by cloud, rain and flower designs. The flowers are highlighted with a white clay slip and the dragonflies with a green clay.  The background is a micaceous clay slip which emphasizes the depth of the carving and the highly polished surface.
