This is an intricately carved seedpot by Linda Cain.  The entire piece is fully carved. There is a circle around the hole of the seedpot which is meant to represent the sun. The larger cloud design is matte tan.  It is surrounded by swirling cloud designs slipped with mica.  The seedpot is very deeply carved and has a complex series of designs.  It is a combination of her creative modernism along with her most traditional style carving.  Linda is always creating new styles and variations in her work.  The piece is signed on the bottom, “Linda Cain”.
