Vicky Tenorio Calabaza (b. 1959) is a daughter of Emiliano and Petra G. Tenorio.  She learned to make pottery from her grandmother, Lupe L  Tenorio (who was the great-aunt of Robert Tenorio).  Vicky began making pottery in the early 1980s.  This bowl is made from native clay, coil-built and painted with bee-weed (black) and red clay slip. The exterior of the bowl has a row of circular sun designs.  Below are interlocking stars.  The bowl was traditionally fired.  It is signed, “Vicky T. Calabaza”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
