Sophie Cata (b. 1957) is a daughter of Frances Salazar and a granddaughter of Flora Naranjo.  She learned to make pottery from her grandmother.   This bowl is from the 1980s.  It is a classic bowl that is highly polished.  Note that even the rim of the bowl is polished.  It is fired a deep red coloration.  The bowl is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.  It is signed on the bottom, “Sophie Cata”.
