Lorenda Cellicion is known for her polychrome Zuni pottery.  Each piece is coil-built.  This jar has a low shoulder with an elongated neck and a fluted rim.  There are two lizards in relief on the shoulder of the jar.  They are black and highlighted with white and red clay creating a texture on the dots.  The remainder has a speckled appearance from the red clay as if the lizards were in the sand.  The jar is signed, “Lorenda Cellicion”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
