Sunday Chavarria is a daughter of noted potter Stella Chavarria and a granddaughter of Teresita Naranjo.  She is a sister of Denise Chavarria. She is known for her contemporary pottery.  This small plate is fully polished red.  It is painted with clay on the front. There is a hummingbird, flower, and rain designs.  It was traditionally fired. The piece is signed, “Sunday Chavarria”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  Sunday rarely makes pottery these days, yet her work remains traditional and classic.
