Alicia Kelsey Chino (b. 1979) s a daughter of noted potter Darla Davis and a granddaughter of Rachel JWhite.  She learned to make pottery from her mother.  She is known for her traditional style designs.  This large seedpot is coil built and painted before firing. The piece is fully painted on the top with a sunflower design. The center is painted with thin lines and there is a checkerboard pattern that extends out to the rim and is highlighted with red clay.  It is signed on the bottom, “A. Chino”.
