Alicia Kelsey Chino (b. 1979) s a daughter of noted potter Darla Davis and a granddaughter of Rachel JWhite. She learned to make pottery from her mother. She is known for her traditional style designs. This seedpot is coil built. The piece has a complex fine-line design in the center on the top. The piece is painted with interlocking diamond shapes that are meant to represent the seeds of a sunflower. Each section has a black dot in the center. They encompass the entire surface of the seedpot from top to bottom. The piece is signed on the bottom, “A. Chino”.
