Derrick Claw learned to make pottery from Carla Nampeyo Claw. The piece is coil-built and carved on the top. There is a flute player and a Sun Katsina design.  The bottom is painted with clay slips to have the appearance of wood.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Derrick Claw”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
