Reuel “Ral” Claw (b. 1960) is the husband of noted potter Carla Claw-Nampeyo. She taught him how to make pottery and he has been making pottery since 1997. Each piece is coil-built and painted with bee-weed and clay slips. The designs are all inspired by Navajo culture. This jar has a Rainbow Yei figure on each side. It is signed, “R. Claw”. The jar is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
