Carolyn Concho is well known for her beautifully painted pottery using Mimbres animals, reptiles, and insects.  This is a classic oval seedpot by Carolyn.  It has a lizard in relief on the top with a raised head.  The seedpot is painted with cloud and rain designs that encircle the top of the piece.  All the different colors are from natural clay slips.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “C. Concho”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
