Johnny Cruz is a son of Viola “Sunset” Cruz and a grandson of Santana & Adam Martinez.  He is also a great-grandson of Maria Martinez. His brother, Marvin Martinez, is also known for his traditional San Ildefonso pottery.  This bowl is coil-built and stone polished.  There is an avanyu encircling the piece.  It is signed on the bottom, “Johnny Cruz”.  It is in very good condition with no cracks, restoration or repair.
