This seedpot is by Ergil Vallo, also known as, “Dalawepi”.  The seedpot is coil-built, stone-polished, and traditionally fired black.  The piece is fully incised with designs.  There are seven katsinas etched into the clay.  Extending out from the opening is an avanyu.  There are heartline bears etched into the clay on the bottom.  The background area is a “rainbow” of colors, for which he was known.  The jar is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Dalawepi”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
